GranMonte Estate Single Vineyard

has a wine grape planting area of 90 rai (approximately 36 acres or 15 hectares) and lies in a valley 350 metres above sea level. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Semillon, Verdelho, Durif and Grenache are the current varieties. All of our grapes are estate-grown and only these are used for our wines. Other varieties under experiment include Sangiovese, Barbera, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. We operate our vineyard with a precision farming system called ‘Smart Vineyard’, which incorporates a microclimate monitoring system. The system greatly assists us in our ‘tropical’ vineyard management to achieve the best possibly quality and higher yield of grapes in this unconventional viticulture climate.
